Triathlon Training Day 37 – First Swimming Accident

Today Marci and I found out that the endless pool at Elevate Fitness isn’t so endless. It turns out that it is 30 minutes of endless and then the pool shuts off itself. Before we knew this I was swimming along having a great time and all of a sudden the pool stopped flowing water towards me which made my swimming propel me forward and I stretched my left hand right into the grate in front of the motor. The result was that it shaved off a good chunk of skin from my middle finger. At first it didn’t bleed at all. It wasn’t until I was talking to Marci about technique that it started to gush.
